Description

American Traveler is seeking an Endoscopy RN with at least 1 year of experience, an active Alaska RN license, and BLS certification for a travel assignment.

Details

• Position is in the Endoscopy unit of an acute care hospital
• Day shifts: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required every 5th weekend
• Epic EMR system is used and experience is required
• No floating required within scope, but expected to float between facilities in the state as needed
• Block scheduling can be accommodated
• Travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Active Alaska RN license in hand is strongly preferred for consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent endoscopy nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and SGNA certification preferred
• Experience with EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must provide at least 2 supervisory references from the last 3 years in a comparable setting
• Permanent staff must wait at least 3 months after employment ends before returning as a traveler
• Travelers cannot have a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include supporting various endoscopic procedures such as EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, colonoscopies, and bronchoscopies
• Must be willing to work at least 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
• No locals accepted due to mileage restriction
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Maximum assignment duration is 1 calendar year; must take a 6-month break before returning
• Facility requires Hep B vaccine (no titers or declinations accepted)
• Online modules must be completed before start and annually
• Free parking is available on-site
• Housing may be limited, so candidates should plan accordingly
