Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position at a Level 1 Trauma Center requiring an active IL RN license and recent ICU experience.

Details

• Position is in a hospital ICU setting with floating required between Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, and occasionally MS units
• Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month)
• Mandatory floating within the facility as needed, including to various ICU units or MS units
• Cerner EMR is used

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required prior to start (booster not required)
• No pending licenses accepted
• Must complete all compliance and lab work within specified deadlines

Additional Information

• First week includes day shift orientation and precepting
• ICU RNs may be floated to units outside their primary specialty with a team-based model used for out-of-competency assignments
• Navy blue scrubs required and not provided
• Returning staff must complete full recredentialing and orientation regardless of previous assignments
• Modules must be completed pre-start, averaging 4 hours
• Candidates must live within a 75-mile radius; local candidates are accepted
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed with no more than 2 consecutive days; no RTO on weekends or during/around holidays
• Holiday RTO not permitted
• Candidates may receive float notification up to 2 hours before shift; refusal to float may result in contract termination
