Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Oncology RN with chemo certification, a NC or compact RN license, and experience in pediatric oncology nursing.

Details

• Work in a pediatric oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Primarily night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient population consists of pediatric oncology patients requiring chemotherapy administration
• Every other weekend required
• Bi-weekly orientations provided
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand at time of application
• Minimum one year of pediatric oncology RN experience required; two years preferred
• Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), APHON
• One supervisory reference from the past year required
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Administer chemotherapy and provide comprehensive care to pediatric oncology patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a high-acuity setting
• First-time travelers will be considered for this assignment
• Modules and orientation training are required during onboarding
• A minimum of three weeks lead time is necessary between booking and start date for credentialing
• Holiday coverage may be expected for scheduled holidays
