American Traveler seeks an experienced RN House Supervisor to oversee Med/Surg and ICU departments on night shifts, requiring an AK RN license and strong acute care background.

Details

• Work in a 49-bed hospital overseeing both Med/Surg and ICU units
• Primarily responsible for supervising all hospital departments and acting as resource for department personnel
• Healthstream charting system is used in the unit
• 12-hour night shifts with variable schedule from 7PM–7AM
• On-call coverage may be required as needed
• Scrubs are the required dress code

Requirements

• Active AK RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
• Strong leadership and hospital supervisory skills

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include direct supervision of all hospital departments during assigned shifts
• Acts as primary resource for staff, arranges adequate staffing, and responds to patient rapid response and complaints
• Represents hospital administration during their absence
• Ensures safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and inventory control measures are maintained
• Participates in training, orientation, and collaborative evaluation processes for staff performance
