American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room position in Texas requiring 3 years of CVOR experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a hospital pediatric cardiovascular operating room (CVOR)
• Patient population includes pediatric cardiovascular surgical cases
• Standard schedule is Monday to Friday, 1:00pm–9:30pm, with PM shifts
• On-call required 4-5 times per month, including weekday and 12-hour weekend shifts
• Floats to different floors as needed
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required and in hand at time of application
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR (cardiovascular operating room) experience required
• General RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season (August–November); no exemptions granted
• Two professional references required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; no local travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Responsible for all aspects of perioperative nursing care in pediatric cardiovascular cases
• Works as part of an interdisciplinary surgical team to coordinate patient care
• Orientation and scrubs are provided
• Must follow hospital policies and maintain patient confidentiality
• May float to other units as operationally needed
• Participation in quality and performance improvement initiatives is required
