Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced PCU RN with a WV or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent TELE/PCU/Stepdown experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a Med Surg/Telemetry floor
• Patient ratios typically 1:5 to 1:6, may fluctuate with census and call-ins
• Uses the Meditech electronic medical record system
• 12-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
• Bi-weekly 36/48 hour schedule (36 hours one week, 48 hours the next)
• No block scheduling offered
• Floating requirements not specified

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of current TELE, PCU, or Stepdown nursing experience
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered

• Orientation is offered bi-weekly and follows facility protocol
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
• Assignment confirmation is required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Local candidates within 100 miles are not eligible
