American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with at least 3 years of recent cardiac, thoracic, and vascular OR experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) within a high-volume hospital surgical unit
• Handle adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases including CABG, valve replacements, aortic dissection, transplantation, ventricular assist device placement, TAVR, ECMO, and endovascular procedures
• Unit includes 4-6 operating rooms and an endovascular suite with the ability to conduct four concurrent procedures with cardiopulmonary bypass
• Day shifts are 12 hours from 6:30 to 19:00, with specific scheduling based on department needs
• Participation in on-call coverage for the CVOR service line after hours and on weekends

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of recent full-time CVOR RN experience in a high-volume hospital environment
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming proficiency with no need for additional training
• Must be able to function independently and efficiently in a fast-paced surgical setting
• Will require Nursys license verification and primary source license verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

• Perform all aspects of intraoperative nursing care during complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
• Expected to 'hit the ground running' with minimal orientation
• Team is capable of high procedural throughput and utilizes advanced technology including adult ECMO support
• Dress code and scrub color requirements will be provided upon hire
• Local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate according to facility-specific radius rules
