Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (PCU/Telemetry) position with strong cardiology skills and recent Epic experience.

Details

• Position located in an intermediate care (PCU/Telemetry) unit within a large teaching hospital
• Patient population includes cardiology cases, post-cath, STEMIs, and structural heart patients
• Floating required, with travelers expected to float first to Med/Surg or other progressive care areas
• Bi-weekly Monday orientation is available
• 12-hour rotating day/night shifts with every other weekend required
• Assignment duration is 16 weeks

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required; candidates must apply for VT licensure within 24 hours of commitment if not already held
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; NIHSS must be completed before start
• At least 2 years of recent experience in intermediate care or telemetry required
• Large facility and teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Recent experience (within the past 2 years) with Epic EMR is nonnegotiable
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required due to lack of public transportation

Additional Information

• Responsible for care of high-acuity cardiac patients including post-catheterization and STEMI cases
• No block scheduling permitted for any reason
• Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires during November through April
