Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (PCU/Telemetry) position requiring recent Epic experience and BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work in an Intermediate Care (PCU/Telemetry) unit at a large teaching facility
• Patient population includes cardiology patients, post-cath, STEMI, and structural heart cases
• Day shift with 12-hour shifts, schedule flexibility required
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating required, with travelers floating first to Med/Surg or other Progressive Care areas
• Epic EMR experience within the past two years required

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Intermediate Care/PCU/Telemetry experience
• Large facility and teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (must have NIHSS prior to start)
• Experience with cardiology patients, including post-cath, STEMI, and structural heart procedures
• Personal or rental vehicle required; public transportation not available locally
• Vehicles must be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly orientation sessions held on Mondays
• No block scheduling is permitted
• Must be flexible with scheduling and floating assignments
