Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, and passing scores on the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam.

Details

• Position is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Required to float to ICU and IMC units as needed
• Night shift schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts, 18:50 to 07:20
• Weekend coverage required as needed

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience required
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Two supervisor references from the past two years required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a lower rate
• No requested time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• No more than 7 days of time off allowed per 13-week contract
• Returning nurses must have a minimum one-year separation from previous MedStar employment to be eligible
• Completion of facility and unit-specific Sitel modules is required within one week of signing the contract
• Labs and DS appointment must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Travelers must be comfortable proceeding in the hiring process without a manager interview
