Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry assignment requiring an active IL RN license and extensive Stepdown experience.

Details

• Position is in a hospital stepdown/telemetry unit serving progressive care patients
• Night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Patient ratio is typically 1:4-5
• Floating may be required among local campuses within the same discipline
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR system, Epic experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license at time of consideration
• Active IA RN license or proof of IA or Compact license application required
• Minimum of 2 years recent Stepdown or Progressive Care experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or Red Cross required
• Must have Epic charting experience
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 24 months of Stepdown/Progressive Care experience must be reflected in work history or resume

Additional Information

• First time travelers are accepted
• Supervisory or charge/supervisor/manager reference from within the last 2 years preferred
• Travelers are expected to contribute clinical expertise within an interdisciplinary team
• Local candidates within 50 miles considered at reduced rate
• Must be willing to float within same discipline as needed
• Mandatory orientation is provided
• Returning travelers may face restrictions if employed within the past 12 months
