American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with a current MI license for a full-time Medical Surgical position requiring every other weekend coverage.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
• Unit consists of two sides: a 13-bed rehab with a 4/5:1 ratio and a 15-bed surgical side with a 4:1 ratio
• Surgical side admits post-OR patients for short stays
• Rehab side serves patients needing daily PT/OT/SLP therapy, occasionally including pediatric patients
• Day shifts are 3x12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Requirement to work every other weekend
• Facility may float RNs within their scope as needed

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with both surgical and rehab patient populations preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include caring for post-surgical and rehab patients needing physical, occupational, or speech therapy
• Modules must be completed onsite annually via HealthStream
• Candidates who were former permanent staff must have a minimum 6-month break before returning as a traveler
• Labs must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• RNs may receive annual required training onsite
• Local travelers are accepted at the local rate and are defined as living within a 75-mile radius
