American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg-Oncology position requiring both stepdown and chemotherapy experience, ONS/ONCC certification, and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based position in a Surgical Oncology unit
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Care for oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy
• Stepdown and Med/Surg competencies are both required
• Unit provides care to patients with a range of health complexities

Requirements

• Active RN license from Oklahoma or multistate compact (eNLC)
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required; candidates with fundamentals may be considered
• At least one year of RN experience, including oncology and chemotherapy patient care
• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills
• Computer skills required for documentation
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering medications, IVs, and blood products, and providing comprehensive care to assigned patients
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff in patient care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Delegation of tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Will require effective response to patient and family cultural and language needs
• Dress code compliance required for clinical staff
