Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for adult surgery in a Level 1 trauma environment, requiring a compact or Oklahoma RN license and acute OR experience.

Details

• Position is in the Adult Surgery operating room within a hospital setting
• Adult surgical patient population requiring perioperative care
• Level 1 trauma facility experience required
• Day shift with 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 6am to 5pm
• Call and holiday coverage are required
• No local candidates accepted per 50-mile radius rule

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute OR environment
• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Demonstrated knowledge of AORN standards and perioperative nursing techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively work as part of a team in a high-acuity surgical setting

Additional Information

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care during operative and invasive procedures
• Accountable for individualized patient care and thorough documentation in the perioperative environment
• Role includes both direct and indirect patient care in the operating room
• Holiday and call coverage are expected as part of the position
• First time travelers are accepted
• Extensions limited to one contract (26 weeks total) before a mandatory 6 month separation
