American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health role in the Emergency Department requiring a NC or compact license along with BLS and CPI certifications.

Details

• Position is in the Behavioral Health unit within an Emergency Department setting
• Patient population is adults
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Work schedule consists of night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:30)
• Weekend work is required every other weekend
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience is preferred
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required
• Experience in behavioral health required; ED RNs with behavioral health experience will be considered
• Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One supervisory reference from the past year is required
• Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing behavioral health nursing care to adult patients in the emergency setting
• Bi-weekly orientations are provided
• Modules are completed during orientation and the first week, with annual completion required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted within a 75-mile radius at a lower rate
• Request for time off is limited to 5-7 days per contract
• A minimum lead time of 3 weeks is required between booking and start date to ensure compliance processing
