Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with an active IL license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications for a Level 1 Trauma Center assignment requiring flexible floating and every other weekend shifts.

Details

• Work in multiple ICU units including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU, with potential to float to MS units as needed
• Level 1 Trauma Center hospital setting
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours per week, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Mandatory floating within the facility and up to 50 miles outside primary unit based on staffing needs
• No block scheduling allowed
• Work every other weekend, with shifts on two weekends per month
• Uses Cerner EMR system; previous Cerner experience is preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care ICU experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required prior to start
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an assignment
• Local candidates accepted, must live within 75 miles to be considered local

Additional Information

• Orientation and precepting during first week will be on day shift
• Strict RTO policy: maximum 5 days off, no more than 2 consecutive days, and no weekend or holiday RTO allowed
• No RTO permitted on the day before or after a holiday
• Returning resources must undergo full recredentialing and orientation regardless of previous employment gap
• Navy blue scrubs required and not provided
• Team-based model used if floating outside primary competency area
• Holiday call-outs may result in contract cancellation
• Compliance deadline is the Monday prior to orientation; candidates must be responsive to all compliance requirements
