Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with an active IL license and at least 2 years of recent acute care ICU experience.

Details

• Work in various ICU units including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, totaling two weekends per month
• Clinicians are required to float to MS units and any Cook facility within 50 miles as needed
• Cerner is the charting system used
• Orientation and precepting shifts take place on the day shift
• No block scheduling is approved

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required upon consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proof of COVID vaccination is required, but boosters are not necessary
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius to be considered as a local candidate

Additional Information

• This is a Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Strict compliance is enforced, including timely completion of required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days; no RTO approved on weekends or around holidays
• Navy blue scrubs are required and not provided
• Returning resources must complete full credentialing and orientation regardless of previous tenure
• Team-based model is used if floated outside primary competency
• Holiday coverage is required with no RTO on holidays or adjoining days
• Must be responsive to compliance documentation deadlines
