American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU role in a Level 1 Trauma Center with mandatory floating requirements.

Details

• Work in various ICU units including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes diverse critical care cases consistent with a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Night shifts are 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30, with every other weekend required
• Floating is mandatory and may include other ICUs and occasionally Med-Surg units, with potential to float to units up to 50 miles away
• Uses Cerner EMR; prior Cerner experience is preferred but not required
• Initial orientation is provided on day shift

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration (no pending licensure accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU acute care experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proof of all required vaccinations, including COVID vaccine (booster not required), must be provided prior to start

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties as needed
• Must adhere to strict RTO policies: maximum 5 days total, no more than 2 consecutive days, no RTO on weekends, holidays, or the days immediately before or after a holiday
• Navy blue scrubs required; scrubs not provided
• Must be able to complete all compliance and lab requirements promptly after offer
• Returning travelers are subject to full recredentialing and orientation regardless of prior employment duration
• Locals living within 75 miles are accepted and may be given preference
