Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) position, requiring at least 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience in a Level II trauma center and an active MD or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) within a hospital setting
• Care for cardiac ICU patients as well as overflow from the Medical ICU, RRT distress, and other critical care diagnoses
• Rotating shifts with 7A/7P coverage
• Required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed by the unit
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac ICU experience in a Level II trauma center
• Experience in facilities with 500+ bed count required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior experience with Epic EMR required

Additional Information

• Candidates will manage critically ill cardiac patients and may respond to Rapid Response Team (RRT) events
• Care for overflow patients from the Medical ICU as needed
• Holiday coverage assigned based on unit need
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate except where facility-specific radius rules apply
