Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position working with adult and geriatric patients, requiring a GA or compact RN license and certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.

Details

• Work in a hospital telemetry unit
• Adult to geriatric patient population with cardiac and medical diagnoses such as CHF, MI, dysrhythmias, sepsis, and vascular issues
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 with 16 rooms on the unit
• Uses Epic EMR (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Day shifts, 4 x 12 hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 19:00
• Float required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent telemetry nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Must provide up to two supervisory references from a manager or higher
• Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 year to work as a traveler

Additional Information

• Administer care to patients with complex cardiac and medical diagnoses including pre- and post-cardiac intervention monitoring
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage expected based on number of major holidays during assignment; specific policy applies
• Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed; no time off may be requested for the first week
• Compliance and pre-employment requirements must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing to ensure timely start
• Non-billable modules completed during orientation, with hours determined by assignment length
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
