Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with orthospine focus, requiring at least one year of MS/Tele experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Tele unit with a focus on ortho and spine cases
• Patient ratio is 1:7
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 18:30 to 07:00
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units is required

Requirements

• Active RN license in TN or compact state required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg and telemetry experience
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Commitment to timely completion of pre-employment drug testing and willingness to return for secondary testing if needed
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to comply with fit testing guidelines

Additional Information

• Participation in nursing student support and clinical education is expected alongside patient care responsibilities
• General orientation includes online learning modules, averaging 4-5 nonbillable hours, completed on Sundays
