American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with charge capability and Epic experience for a night shift assignment in a Level IV trauma center.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a short term acute care hospital
• Level IV trauma center with a patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• No floating between units within the facility, but floating to sister facilities within the state may be required
• No on-call requirements
• Required to wear navy blue scrubs
• Uses Epic EMR system with experience required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license in hand
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Must be able to function as charge RN with brief orientation
• Completion of required modules pre-start and annually
• Minimum of two supervisory references from the past three years required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for travel status
• No Nursys or background check issues accepted

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include providing emergency care and assuming charge duties as needed
• Assignment includes expectation to float to nearby affiliated facilities as required
• All requested time off must be submitted up front; limited time off approved
• Must commit to working at least three of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day
• Return staff eligible after a three-month break in employment
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Modules are self-reported and completed pre-assignment
• First-time travelers are accepted
