American Traveler is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager RN with organ transplant and operating room leadership experience for weekday shifts in New York.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital setting with responsibility for organ transplant units, including lung and heart
• Full-time schedule with weekday shifts: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or four 10-hour shifts during the week
• Requires management and oversight of nursing practice, patient care delivery, operations, staffing, and regulatory compliance
• Patient population includes candidates for and recipients of lung and heart transplants

Requirements

• Active and current NY RN license required
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's in Nursing preferred
• A minimum of 6-8 years of nursing experience, with 2-5 years in leadership or management roles
• Organ transplant experience required
• At least 2 years of operating room experience required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Two professional references from managers in the past year required
• AHA certifications required for BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP, with renewal receipts if certifications expire during assignment

Additional Information

• Responsible for 24/7 coverage and accountability of assigned transplant unit
• Leads a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient- and family-centered care
• Manages human and fiscal resources for the department
• Must complete facility-required training modules prior to assignment start
• Local candidates within 60 miles are eligible at a reduced rate
• Candidates with prior employment at associated health systems are subject to a review process before eligibility is determined
• Any expiring licenses or certifications during the contract require documentation of renewal
