Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Hospice RN with active NH or compact license, Homecare Homebase proficiency, and flexibility to cover a multi-county territory.

Details

• Work in hospice settings providing end-of-life care to geriatric patients
• Covers a territory up to a 60-mile radius from the office
• Average daily caseload of 5-7 patients, subject to confirmation during interview
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No guaranteed on-call, but possible rotation may be discussed during interview
• EMR: Homecare Homebase (HCHB) proficiency required
• Locals accepted and paid at travel rate
• Each traveler will be assigned their own territory and must have personal transportation

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in hospice nursing
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR required
• Active driver’s license and reliable personal transportation required
• No first-time travelers considered
• Former perm employees must be separated for at least 6 months and require HR approval before returning as travelers

Additional Information

• Provide hospice care and symptom management for geriatric, end-of-life patients
• Timely documentation and effective communication skills are required
• Dress code: scrubs, any color (no jeans allowed)
• Mileage reimbursed at the current IRS standard rate
• iPad provided for work use; cell phones not provided
• Orientation is held on Tuesday and includes required modules
• All RTO requests must be submitted with application
• Travel pairs accepted but must work independently with separate territories
