Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with at least two years of large OR experience and a NM or compact RN license for a day shift position with call responsibilities.

Details

• Work in a hospital operating room setting
• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts per week
• On call and call back as needed, with weekend coverage as needed
• Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required
• Direct surgical patient care including scrub duties

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Minimum two years of current large OR experience required
• Must have completed at least one prior 13-week travel assignment
• Ability to scrub required
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• PALS and ACLS certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ortho, EENT, and vascular surgery experience is a plus
• No local candidates permitted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Returning staff must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
• Pass/fail testing may be administered during orientation
• Responsible for collaborating with healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care
