American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN with Level 1 trauma and EPIC experience for the Observation Unit in Illinois.

Details

• Work in the T6 Observation Unit of a hospital setting
• Care for a diverse adult medical-surgical patient population
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Uses EPIC as the electronic medical record system
• Float requirements were not specified

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or temporary permit in good standing
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum one year of relevant RN experience
• Documented Level 1 trauma experience
• Documented EPIC charting experience
• Associates in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Applicants must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Additional Information

• Assess, monitor, and document patient care in accordance with hospital policy and unit standards
• Initiate and manage IVs and maintain documentation standards
• Attend at least 5 out of 6 staff meetings annually as required
• Identifying changes in patient status and responding appropriately is essential
• May not have more than seven requested days off during a 13-week contract
• Contingent workers are limited to one year of assignment before a required six-month break
