American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring a NJ or compact license, recent home health experience, and OASIS/EPIC proficiency.

Details

• Work in a home health setting visiting patients in their residences
• Patients recently discharged from hospitals or skilled nursing facilities
• Typical procedures include wound care, wound vacs, Pleurx drains, ostomies, heart failure, diabetes, oncology, post-surgery, and orthopedic cases
• Day shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with five 8-hour shifts per week
• Required to work every 5th weekend and every other holiday
• Expected productivity is 6 visits per day or equivalent (admissions count as 2 visits)
• Floating required within five designated hospitals based on staffing needs
• EMR systems used include OASIS and EPIC

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent home health nursing experience within the past 12 months
• Current BLS certification required at time of consideration; cannot expire within 30 days of assignment start
• Experience with med-surg skills
• Proficiency with OASIS and EPIC EMR systems
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing care for a variety of complex cases recently discharged from inpatient settings
• Work independently with support from home health team as needed
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test during orientation on a PC (two attempts permitted)
• No mileage reimbursement is offered for travel between patient visits
• Modules and training are included during orientation and tracked by transcript
• Requests for time off must be submitted in advance; no time off allowed in first week
• Travel pairs are not accepted; each candidate must accept the offer individually
