Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Pediatrics position on a mixed medical-surgical floor requiring at least 2 years of peds MS experience and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Work on a medical-surgical floor with 8 pediatric beds, caring for both adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratios are 1:5 for adults and 1:4 for pediatric patients
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call duties
• Uses Epic EMR system with experience required
• Floating may be required according to clinical experience and rotation policy

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license (pending license accepted for consideration)
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in both adult and pediatric medical-surgical nursing
• EPIC experience required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must be willing to work some holidays and weekends as scheduled
• Completion of non-billable orientation and annual modules is required
• Modules are typically 4-8 hours and completed via the Relias/Net Learning portal
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower rate
• After a year, travelers must separate for at least 90 days before being eligible to return
• Former permanent employees must be gone for at least one year before returning as travelers
• Only one request for time off will be considered
