American Traveler is seeking an experienced Stepdown RN for a night shift assignment, requiring a MO or compact RN license and 2 years recent acute care experience.

• Work in the Stepdown Unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts weekly (19:00-07:30)
• Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 4 patients
• Required to work two shifts every other weekend, with variation in days based on rotation
• Floating may occur within scope to other lower acuity units or nearby affiliate hospitals
• Uses EPIC for charting; experience with EPIC is required
• Patient care includes titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, insulin drips, management of trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (license in hand or pending accepted as stated)
• Minimum 2 years of recent bedside acute care experience in a stepdown or similar unit
• Current ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must have worked at the bedside within the last 6 months
• No local candidates accepted within 75 miles of the hospital

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Navy scrubs are required for all shifts
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Standard travelers can remain up to 18 months in the system with a mandatory 3-month break after
• No RTO permitted during the first week of assignment; no more than 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Pre-employment fit testing is required and facial hair must allow for testing
• Free onsite parking is provided
• Mandatory training modules must be completed prior to start
