American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) day shift position that requires a NC or compact RN license, Epic experience, and passing an EKG exam.

Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a short-term acute care, Level III trauma, teaching hospital
• Day shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Patient ratios are 1:4-5
• Cares for an intermediate acuity adult patient population
• Epic EMR experience required
• Required to work every other weekend
• Float within hospital or to like units and sister campuses as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care or similar experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Must pass an EKG exam prior to or at the start of assignment
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Pending licenses not accepted

Additional Information

• Must be able to work independently and float within scope as needed
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Royal blue and white scrubs are required
• Pre-employment modules (4-10 hours) must be completed before start date
• Return staff must have been gone at least one year to be eligible
• Travelers can extend once on day shift; must be gone 6 months before returning after two contracts
• No travel pairs accepted on unit
• Return to work (RTO) requests are limited to 4 days with approval for only 1 holiday
• Compliance requires SSN and DOB at time of consideration
• COVID or vaccine exemption requests must be submitted promptly to avoid delays
