Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) position requiring at least one year of prior travel nursing experience and current licensure in MO or compact states and KS.

Details

• Position is in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a children's hospital
• Level I Trauma Center and Level IV NICU with Magnet and teaching designations
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours per week (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
• 13-week contract assignment
• Float required between main facility and a sister hospital approximately 12 miles away
• Uses Cerner for charting

Requirements

• Active RN license for MO or compact state, and KS license required (KS license may be pending with proof of application)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU RN experience
• At least 1 year of experience as a travel RN is mandatory
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only; RQI not accepted) required at the time of consideration
• Two supervisor-level references from within the last 12 months required
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must pass a medication/dosage exam within first week with a score of 100%; three attempts allowed
• Opportunities to gain experience in a large pediatric teaching and trauma center

• Facility is nicotine-free and tests for nicotine use
• Holiday coverage may be required as per facility needs
