Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric PACU position requiring 2-3 years of pediatric post-anesthesia and pre-testing experience and an active DC RN license.

Details

• Position is in the Pediatric PACU of a hospital
• Work schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with varying start times between 6am and 11am
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
• Patient population includes pediatric post-anesthesia and pre-testing cases
• Floating may occur between critical care units such as NICU, PICU, and CICU

Requirements

• Active DC RN license or pending DC license application with proof of submission and expected issuance before start date
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in pediatric post-anesthesia care and pre-testing
• References from supervisors within the past 2 years must be available upon request
• Must have a current photo per professional requirements upon offer acceptance
• Non-smoking facility with zero tolerance policy

Additional Information

• All required modules must be completed within the first week and prior to orientation
• Missed shifts due to call outs must be made up by extending the assignment
• Only candidates who have not been employed at the facility within the past year are eligible to return as travelers
• There are no local radius restrictions and local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• No exemptions for vaccination or health requirements are accepted
• Compliance must be completed by the Monday prior to the start date
• One guaranteed holiday off can be requested with additional requests dependent on needs
