Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Trauma/Med Surg position in a Level 1 trauma acute care setting, requiring at least two years of experience and active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Work in a Level 1 trauma, acute care hospital on a Trauma/Med Surg floor with telemetry monitoring
• Primarily cares for medical-surgical and trauma patients who require telemetry
• Typical night shift ratios are 1:5-6 patients
• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
• May float to similar Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active SD or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must disclose any prior employment at Sanford Health, with a minimum 6-month separation prior to consideration
• No BSN required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, patient education, and coordination of complex patient care
• Must be able to effectively delegate and supervise support staff
• Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care
• Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs
• Must badge in and out for shifts
• Holiday coverage is required per rotation schedule
