Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night-shift Progressive Care Unit position, requiring VA or compact licensure and proficiency with telemetry and EPIC.

Details

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Care for patients with CHF, stroke, sepsis, cardiac dysrhythmias, pneumonia, pain management, and observation status
• 36-bed telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• First to float if census drops, including to Medical, Surgical, or Observation Unit
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Weekend requirement is every other weekend

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and telemetry experience
• EPIC experience required

Additional Information

• Patient populations include those in observation and inpatient status during high census periods
• Support available from techs, resource RN, and charge RN
• Three-day unit orientation provided
• Navy blue pants and either solid navy-blue or solid white tops required; jackets and long sleeve shirts must be navy or white
• Holiday coverage requirements as assigned
