Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown position requiring a current OH or compact license and recent stepdown experience.

Details

• Work in the stepdown unit at a hospital setting
• Care for patients requiring intermediate/stepdown care
• Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am), with potential shift variability to meet operational needs
• Assignment is 13 weeks in length
• Must work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 18 months of recent permanent experience in stepdown or related specialty prior to travel
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross required
• Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation
• References from a manager, supervisor, ANM, or director in the specialty are required for consideration
• No open background cases or license hits accepted

Additional Information

• Team-based patient care in a dynamic stepdown environment
• Orientation includes ECG and medication safety assessments, with two attempts permitted
• Modules must be completed prior to start and annually as required by facility
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to work at this hospital system for 1 year after end of previous assignment
• Fingerprinting and badging must be completed onsite before start date
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free requirements
