American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Assertive Community Treatment psychiatric position requiring a WV or compact RN license and community-based mental health experience.

Details

• Work in a community-based psychiatric program focused on Assertive Community Treatment
• Care for clients with chronic mental illness such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder
• Typical caseload is 4-5 clients per day, with all care provided one-on-one in the community
• Services include medication delivery, administration of psychiatric injections, and client education during home or community visits
• Shift schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with no weekends, holidays, on-call, or float requirements
• Documentation required for each client encounter using Epic EMR
• Requires use of personal vehicle for community visits, with mileage reimbursed at IRS rate

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS, AHA) certification
• Experience working with individuals with mental illness in community-based programs
• Must provide own reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Previous Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Duties include medication management, administering injections, and providing mental health education to clients in the community
• Will participate in weekday morning meetings prior to community visits
• Orientation includes shadowing with a current ACT RN
• Dress code is business casual or scrubs in any color
• No local travelers accepted; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Former WVU Medicine employees must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may not work within the WVU system for more than one cumulative year without a 2-year break
