American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry Stroke unit position requiring neuro experience and an active GA or compact RN license.

• Work in a hospital-based Stroke/Telemetry unit
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Patient population includes stroke and telemetry patients
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 18 months RN experience required
• Neuro experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS and NIHSS
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local travelers permitted
• Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for 1 year prior to returning to the health system and 18 months prior to returning to the same facility

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include caring for patients with stroke and cardiac monitoring needs
• Strict rules for requested time off: a maximum of 5 days allowed unless near a holiday, in which case a maximum of 3 days off may be approved
• Only one holiday time-off request is allowed per assignment
• Time off requests spanning multiple days during the holiday period will not be approved
• Candidates must not have previously worked at the facility within the restricted timeframe
