American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring a NE or compact RN license, advanced procedure skills, and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• Position is in an acute care hospital setting on the Endoscopy/GI Lab Unit
• Level 1 trauma environment
• Work schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts with one weekday call and weekend call every 4-5 weeks
• Care for patients undergoing GI and endoscopic procedures, including advanced cases such as EUS and ERCP
• Uses the Epic EMR system
• Orientation includes a pass/fail open-book exam on skills learned during orientation, requiring a minimum score of 90% to continue

Requirements

• Active NE or compact state RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS and BLS
• Strong circulating and teching skills for advanced GI/endoscopy procedures (such as EUS, ERCP)
• Two references required: one from a supervisor within the past 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the past 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver’s license required
• COVID vaccination or exemption status documentation required

Additional Information

• Responsible for circulating and assisting with a wide range of GI and advanced endoscopy procedures
• Will be subject to a Friday orientation skills exam with open-book resources; failure to achieve 90% will result in contract termination
• Artificial nail enhancements are not permitted in patient care areas; refusal to comply will result in termination
• Expected to take call as scheduled, including periodic weekend coverage
• The position requires adherence to professional dress code and hospital policies
• Returning employees are not eligible if they were directly employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity in the past year
