Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift Med/Surg Tele assignment in Washington, DC, requiring a DC RN license and at least two years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Provides care to adult patients requiring medical and telemetry monitoring
• Utilizes Cerner EMR system
• Day shift position with 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• No on-call required
• Must live at least 25 miles from the facility

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required at time of consideration
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• CPI certification mandated for this position
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience in a US hospital required
• At least 2 years of total RN experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must provide two manager or supervisor references, with at least one from the most recent employer
• U.S. Social Security Number and documentation required for consideration

• Responsibilities include initial and ongoing patient assessment, documentation, and implementation of care plans
• Deliver care in accordance with licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements
• Works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs
• Must provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan as needed
