Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric RN with at least 2 years of experience and BLS/PALS certification for a hospital crisis response assignment.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric unit of a hospital setting
• Care for patients ages 0-17 with medical, surgical, and hematology/oncology diagnoses
• Target patient ratios of 1:5-6
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 to 19:15, with every other weekend required
• 36 hours per week offered
• 13-week contract with potential for extension
• Floating required to PICU and NICU
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR systems
• Self-scheduling available

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric RN experience required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Chemo administration experience required
• Chemotherapy certification preferred
• IV start and lab draw skills preferred

Additional Information

• Orientation includes 24 hours on the unit and full hospital orientation during week one
• Scrub attire includes fun pediatric-themed tops and navy pants, which are not provided
• No time off requests allowed after booking; unauthorized absences may result in contract cancellation
• First time travelers are accepted if they meet the experience requirement
• RTO (time off) capped at 7 days for auto offers
