Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Oncology Clinic position in an outpatient setting, requiring a NC or compact RN license and skills in chemotherapy and IV therapy.

Details

• Work in a medical oncology outpatient clinic with 16 exam rooms and 20 infusion beds
• Treats adult and geriatric patients with hematology and oncology diagnoses
• Duties include phone triage and triage of MyChart portal messages, venipuncture, blood draws via venipuncture or PORT-A-Cath, and chaperoning breast exams
• Eight-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 17:00
• No call, float, or weekend requirements
• Uses Epic EMR with required prior experience

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in outpatient oncology clinic required
• Chemotherapy skills including recognition and communication of abnormal lab values
• IV therapy skills including starting and maintaining IVs
• Proficient in phlebotomy and telephone triage
• EKG competency required; must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must provide own stethoscope
• Epic EMR experience required

• Navy blue scrubs required and not provided by the employer
• Unit orientation provided per clinic needs
• No RTO (requested time off) after booking is allowed; additional RTO may result in cancellation
