American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring Epic experience and current LA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the ICU of an acute care hospital setting
• Care for adult patients including pre- and post-kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants, as well as those with acute kidney injuries and encephalopathy
• Patient ratios include 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3, with transplant patients staffed at 1:3 once stepped down from ICU status
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, three times per week
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holiday coverage is required
• Floating required to all adult critical care units, and may include ED, PACU, or Med Surg with a max of 4 patients or as helping hands
• Utilizes equipment such as Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis machines, NxStage dialysis, Veratron Bladder Scanner, and Arctic Sun TMS
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU RN experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI (CPI can be obtained at the facility)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
• Former permanent employees must be separated from any related facility for a minimum of 1 year
• Must live outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
• Copy of Driver’s License required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing care for complex transplant patients and managing conscious sedation at the bedside
• ICU RNs assigned to Medical Surgical units will care for a maximum of 4 patients or assist as helping hands
• Scrub colors required: Teal, white, or a combination of both, with closed toe and heel shoes; no artificial or acrylic nails allowed; name badge must be worn at all times
• Strict adherence to time off (RTO) policy; up to 5 days RTO allowed
• Preferred certifications include OCN and CCRN
• Holiday coverage is mandatory as scheduled
