Description

American Traveler is seeking an LPN with BLS and MO-approved IV certification for a night shift neuro-med/surg position requiring at least one year of recent inpatient experience.

Details

• Work in a neuro-surgical medical/surgical unit
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with weekend hours as needed
• Neuro-surgical patient population including stroke, seizures, MS, and patients with back, head, and spinal diagnoses or post-neurosurgery
• Patient ratio typically 1:5-6
• Float within scope as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• FIT test required onsite

Requirements

• Active LPN license required if applicable
• Current BLS and MO-approved IV certification required
• At least 1 year of recent inpatient acute care med/surg and neuro experience
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• No expiring certifications within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal documentation is provided
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required
• Flu vaccination required from November 1 to April 1 unless client-approved exemption

Additional Information

• Care for neuro-surgical patients with a range of neurological and post-operative needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• Wear black scrubs as part of the dress code
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible with bill rate adjusted
• Local staff may be limited to three consecutive 13-week contracts at the facility
