American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric PACU position requiring FL or compact licensure, two years of pediatric PACU experience, and call responsibilities.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric Peri-Anesthesia Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Primarily caring for pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia
• Ten-hour day shifts with a set day off (Wednesday)
• On-call coverage is required
• Travelers are required to float first and may float to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes
• Uses Epic EMR system and Epic experience is required or preferred

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of recent pediatric PACU experience required
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
• Accredited nursing degree or at least five years of nursing experience required
• References including one within the past year required for consideration
• Must not reside or own property within a strict 50-mile radius of the facility

• Responsibilities include pre- and post-anesthesia patient assessment and care for pediatric patients
• Floating to sister campuses is common for travelers
• All requests for time off or specific schedule accommodations must be made prior to submission and will not be accepted after offer
• Orientation begins on Friday and includes remote components, with a required in-person visit for badge/ID pick-up
• Holiday coverage may be required as dictated by unit needs
• Culture emphasizes teamwork and travelers are expected to function as core staff
• No block scheduling requests will be accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered
