Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with IN or compact licensure and critical care experience for a night shift travel assignment.

Details

• Work in a 14-bed ICU and Progressive Care unit within a 72-bed hospital
• Care for critically ill, vent-dependent patients, IV drips, IV sedation, and post-procedure recoveries
• Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM with every third weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• May float to Medical-Surgical Telemetry with 6:1 ratios as needed
• ICU nurse-to-patient ratios range from 2:1 to 3:1, up to 1:5 for MS overflow
• Uses Cerner EMR system

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Current driver's license required
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent ICU or critical care experience
• No experience handling ECMO or trauma ERRT required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• All certifications must be valid for at least the first 30 days of assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide care to critically ill and vent-dependent patients
• Occasionally responsible for post-procedure recovery care after hours
• Block scheduling is not offered for this position
• RTO (requested time off) must be less than 1 week
• Travelers who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible
• Must be able to submit required licensure, certifications, and a valid driver's license for consideration
