Description

American Traveler is seeking an LPN for a night shift medical-surgical assignment at a correctional facility, requiring current or eligible Illinois licensure and CPR certification.

Details

• Work in a correctional facility medical-surgical unit
• Night shift schedule: 5x8 hour shifts from 23:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend coverage required (2 weekends per month)
• Mandatory floating within scope to other units or Cook facilities as needed, up to 50 miles from home facility
• Charting performed with Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing
• Current Illinois LPN license or ability to obtain prior to employment (license required if applicable)
• Current CPR certification
• Completion of Practical Nurse pharmacology and medication administration coursework, with documentation required at interview
• Preferred: One year of recent full-time paid clinical experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required
