American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Case Management position in an acute inpatient setting requiring a WA or compact RN license and recent case management experience.

Details

• Work in the inpatient Case Management department of a Level III Trauma Center
• Adult inpatient population including ICU, PCU, MedSurg, and ER patients; no pediatrics, L&D, or NICU
• Patient load averages 15-20 patients per day
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts with every other weekend required
• No floating required
• No on-call responsibilities
• EMR: Epic; experience required
• Schedule made by manager and provided a few weeks prior
• Must work at least one holiday during the contract

Requirements

• Active WA RN or compact RN license required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum two years of recent acute inpatient case management experience required
• At least four years of overall RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Healthcare financial and reimbursement knowledge required
• Acute care case management experience mandatory
• ER and Utilization Review experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccine required
• First-time travelers will not be considered

Additional Information

• Conduct post-discharge planning and coordinate community resources for patients
• Responsibilities may include utilization review and providing healthcare financial guidance
• Strong leadership, peer, and case management assistant support on unit
• Orientation is 1-3 days, candidates should be ready to see patients on the first day
• Must adhere to a business casual dress code; scrubs are not worn
• Free parking in lot or garage is available
• All time-off (RTO) must be requested up front for manager approval
• Travelers may pick up extra shifts at other MHS facilities
• Breaks are required and overtime must be approved in advance
