American Traveler is seeking an RN with at least 1 year of experience for a Renal Med/Surg unit, requiring a GA or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Adult and geriatric patient population in a hospital Renal Med/Surg unit
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Average nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 with 49 rooms and an average daily census of 48
• Use of Epic EMR (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication tools
• Staff required to float as needed
• Every other weekend rotation is required
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Perm/PRN staff must have one year break from all Piedmont facilities prior to returning as a traveler
• Travelers unable to return to a facility must complete a successful assignment elsewhere before rebooking

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Navy blue scrub attire is required
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) allowed, with none during the first week
• Holiday coverage is required per assignment length: one major holiday if one occurs, both if two, and two if three occur during the contract
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift on the same unit
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time, with bi-weekly orientation scheduling
