American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Epic proficiency and prior travel experience for a Level III trauma center assignment.

Details

• Position is in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care hospital
• Facility is a Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds
• Scheduled for 3x12 hour day shifts: Wednesday 6:45am-7:15pm, Thursday and Friday 10:45am-11:15pm
• Charge RN duties required from 5:30pm-11:15pm on select shifts
• Rotational evening call from 11pm-7am every other week or every third week
• Rotational weekend 24-hour call (Saturday or Sunday) approximately once every two months
• Holiday call rotation required as needed
• Patient population includes total joints, neuro, spine, da Vinci robotic, gynecologic, and genitourinary surgeries
• Uses Epic for charting and documentation

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Scrubbing experience is required
• Must have experience with total joints, neuro, spine, da Vinci, and gyn/GU procedures
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Flu vaccine required without exception
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless religious or medical exemption is provided

Additional Information

• Duties include circulating and scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures
• Will have charge nurse responsibilities during designated times
• No local candidates will be considered, candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility
• Returning permanent staff must have been gone for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• Facility can auto-approve up to 7 days of requested time off
• Free parking available on site
• First time travelers and new graduates are not eligible for this position
• Participate in all emergency response activities as required
• Compliance with hospital dress code and orientation requirements is expected
