American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVSU Stepdown ICU position with every other weekend and float requirements.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit (CVSU) within an ICU setting
• Patient population includes STEMI, hypertensive crisis, chest pain, post-CABG, and vascular surgery cases
• Unit has between 8 and 13 beds with nurse to patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 3:1
• Specialized procedures include TEE, bedside bronchoscopies, targeted temperature management (TTM), and ECMO
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Night shift with 12-hour shifts
• Required to work every other weekend
• Float as needed within critical care skillset
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active RN license in AL or compact state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Previous ICU or stepdown experience required
• Ability to float within critical care units as needed

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include caring for post-cardiac surgery and vascular patients, responding to acute events, and managing special procedures
• Scrub color requirements apply
• Team-oriented environment with support from other critical care staff
